Three workshops were organized with 23 Innu fishermen. The topics covered were oriented towards reporting sightings of endangered species and fish by-catch. Information and advice on handling and release of accidentally captured wolffish were also shared. Education and awareness training are an essential part of the re-establishment of species at risk. These workshops will be offered in the coming years as to reduce the harmful effects directly or indirectly linked to the endangerment of some species of marine life.
